New Representation at J & W Gallery!

Im proud to report that I am proudly being represented at J & W Gallery located in Lambertville, NJ. Lambertville is a great artsy area with  many galleries and antique shops. Being right across from  New Hope, Pa, it makes a wonderful destination to  spend a day. Some of the pieces I have at the gallery  at from  my “Essential” series, which focus on equine relevant still life scenes. Feel free to visit the gallery for a closer look! Hunterdon watercolor society demonstration January 7!

Happy new year!!
This coming Monday, January 7, 2013 I will be giving a demonstration for the Hunterdon Watercolor Society. If you are a member of the group I will see you there! I will be doing an animal portrait, and showing from scratch how to bring it from start to finish!

With the turn  of the season,  and the  colors  changing all around us, summer  camps   end,  and  the new  fall semester  begins.  I  am   offering  several  classes  at  both the Visual Art Center of  NJ  in Summit, and the Center for Contemporary Art  in Bedminster, NJ.

Some of  my  classes for the Visual Art Center  are:

“Seeing in Color” 12:30-3 on Thursdays.

“Drawing – Fine tuning the details” 12:30-3 Wednesday.

For teens I  offer  Drawing and painting on thursday  afternoons  and  saturdays. Specific times are on  the website.

Kids classes can also  be  found on the  website as well.  I teach Monday and wednesday afternoons.

Morning Oil painting 10-12:30 on Tuesdays

Evening Oil Painting 6:30-9 on Tuesdays.

ANIMAL PORTRAITURE WORKSHOP THIS SUNDAY!

This sunday, at the Visual Art Center of NJ  is  my  final   workshop till mid summer. 10-4pm.

There  are still a few  spots available  so  if interested  please call the art center to reserve a spot.

During this  workshop I will cover all areas  of  how to  draw and paint an animal. I will  be  doing demonstration in  oil,  pastel, watercolor,  and showing how  to  start  a drawing of an  animal off with loose  basic gestures. I will also  go over how to measure proportions and  angles.  Achieving  fur and  feathers etc  in various mediums  will be demonstrated as well. Come learn and  enjoy the  beginning of summer in this  fun workshop!

The Essentials series

So recently I have been on a roll, and have been working on  paintings and studies for a  new collection of  work  I  plan on  putting together  entitled. “The essentials.” I am pretty much obsessed with animals,   its  my passion to  work with them  and  to  draw and paint them. So I thought  ok,   how  can i  try  something new  yet  still  work with  my passion.  I  had  been toying with the idea  of  working with  more of a still life/ scene-based  motif.   Of course   keeping  its relevance with animals.  Things like  dog bones,  horse gear,  dog toys,  etc. Here are a few examples of  some of the pieces  I have  finished  so far.
